My mother by svavaComment: The handbag, the serious face, the legs crossed... they all serve to tell the story of who she is! The image is very good... crisp, clear , great tones, well composed! |

"A Penny For Your Thoughts"by Jon_HComment: Very nice and dreamy effect created by the soft focus and wide open aperture. It conveys the message of the title well and gives a glimpse into the girls personality. I think of what can be improved and I would have to say that there is too much space above the head. The way you have her framed, it puts her face in the center of the photo and I would like to see it either in the top third using a portrait layout or in the left third using a landscape layout. Everything else is good... color, clarity, focus. |

Sliceby leonedavisComment: Who knew you could shoehorn a waterdrop into a triangel challenge??? It is very interesting to see the triangular shaped splash. You did well with the complimentary colors too. Lighting is a little bright and uneven though. |

A-Frame Houseby dragonwarlord98Comment: Good eye for the shape! The house is documented well in the shot. The triangle shape in itself is a compositional element. It gives a feeling of strength in any photo. In order to kick this up a notch there ought to be more compositional elements used. For example unusual perspective, shallower depth of field, greater tonal range, use of different light such as the golden hours, etc... |

Allsaints on Broadwayby jbrobesonComment: I think the shutter speed may be a tad low. I can see some evidence of camera shake at the left door and the people aren't very sharp. |

Lonelyby tangueraComment: Great color. Overall the photo is very dark. I understand the yellow light is supposed to stand out as a pop of color and it does well against the blue lighting. I just think the remainder of the photo is very dark. |

Dorisby Tlee05Comment: I think there is somewhat of a movement to create end of life(style) photography, showing the sick or elderly in their natural element. I can appreciate the style. One thing I would do for this, if your intention was to make it that type of photo, would be to make it darker or low key. Here the bright light just doesn't portray the same emotion the woman is showing. |

Emergenceby LeoComment: Looks like there is a white hot spot on the background at the right, also a grey one on his shirt at bottom right. You can clone that out in advanced editing.
Otherwise, very good one light portrait. |
