An interesting scene with the mixture of animals. I find the light rather flat uniform (as others said it's more harsh than flat, I was using that term to mean without much variation, and that is not correct usage) and the image lacking the balance of tonal values that Ansel Adams was known for. But a good subject choice for a Black and White image. I like this more coming back a second time and have bumped it.

An interesting scene but the image appears almost like an etching and looks over-sharpened. The shapes of the buildings is its strongest point, a closer view of them might have made for a stronger image, but that is just my opinion.

Unfortunately the light in this image is quite flat. On my monitor there are no details in the dark areas, and both the mid-tones and lightest areas are rather dull looking. Not what I would expect to see in an Ansel Adams' photo IMO. There is something very majestic about the way this gull is standing though.

On my monitor it's lacking details in the shadows which I think of being one of the hallmark's of an Ansel Adams photo. But I'm enjoying the composition and the "message".

I like the transitions and lines where the type of vegetation changes. Compared to what I think of as Ansel Adams style this has rather limited tones, with large areas in the mid-tonal range, and very little detail in the shadows. The sky adds a bit of interest, though.

An interesting subject but the processing has resulted in mid tones without the extremes of light and dark, and thus lacks the Ansel Adams touch.
