| Unfortunately the light in this image is quite flat. On my monitor there are no details in the dark areas, and both the mid-tones and lightest areas are rather dull looking. Not what I would expect to see in an Ansel Adams' photo IMO. There is something very majestic about the way this gull is standing though. |

| Good shot but there are no whites in this image. Adams made sure to cover all the zones. |

| Good seagull portrait. However, this is a flat image. The dynamic range is not wide. This would have been fine with more dynamic light bouncing around. |
