Big Hand Little Handby alanfreedComment: Cute idea, but the lighting is very flat and the colours are a bit muddy. Some more contrast would be nice, to bring out the textures in the hands and darken the background. |

Pour Me Two More Fingers, Samby daysezComment: I like the lighting and framing of this photo. The "Body Parts" element is subtle, which is very refreshing :). Shallow DOF adds a nice smoky feel to this, like it's in a bar or something. Nice photo. |

Frozen in the Mudby inspzilComment: HMM... there isn\'t a lot going on in this photo. The textures are interesting, but the colours are flat and dull. With a bit more contrast, and some experiments with different exposures, I think you could have achieved something interesting, but this doesn\'t really get there.
Updated - I didn't see the frog until I looked at the thumbnail after I finished voting, and it suddenly appeared! I don't think it'll change my vote though, because the flaws I saw initially still stand. |

Chrysalis Fungiby amonteforteComment: Seems a little overexposed, but that purple leaf is just amazing! This photo has a great alien quality to it. I love it. |

Beavers Woodworkingby HBunchComment: Interesting... something I never see in my country. However, the colours are flat and dull... the composition is awkward. It seems underexposed. |

Running Water by karmatComment: Probably the nicest running water photo in this challenge (although there may be more I haven't seen yet!). You hit exactly the right settings to get that water looking glassy and spectacular, with the rocks beautifully sharp and perfectly exposed. I think the border is a little bit too thick, but this is going to be a 10 from me. |

sandstoneby connieComment: Wow! I love it! Simple and effective. Very serene. The smoothness of the sand is just gorgeous, punctuated by stones. Great tonal depth in your black and white. A 10! |

Ice Stormby lionelmComment: Hmmm... intriguing. These ice photos are weird to me, because I've only been in snow twice in my life. This one is particularly nice. Simple, strong composition. Good work. |

Winter Breakby crabappl3Comment: The blue in this is a little bit overbearing, and the strong border kind of pushes it over the top. I love the bird. It was well captured, on that lovely branch against the sky. Desaturating it a bit or converting to black and white would have been more comfortable for me, I think. |

The Weatherby daysezComment: This is very flat and grey. It would be a fairly effective shot with more contrast, and probably a tighter crop. It has a kind of subtle charm, but overall is a bit dull. |
