As much as I love kittens, I've always thought newborns looked like mutants! You did well to take what seems like a really formal, studio style photo of this guy, but there are some problems with it. I like the soft focus look, I think that's fine, but the tonal depth is a bit flat, the composiiton doesn't seem tight, and it seems a little bit underexposed to me. The huge shadow over the kitten's front paw (the one on the side near the camera) has an odd effect.

Very, very cool. I love the shallow DOF, the rakish composition, and the vivid colours. The teeny scratches on that pipe stem are neat. 10!

Harris Hawk

Pretty. I like the detail in the feathers and the way you caught the hawk's head in profile. The pleasantly blurry snowy background is well done. Nice framing.

Waves in Flag

This is a technically perfect photo of an American flag, with colours that will probably make a lot of people say "WOW! those colours POP!". But photos like this leave me cold... not because of the subject matter, more because of the crisp "perfect" look. I could render this in a 3D program and not be able to tell the difference.

Hehe, the title is a bit over the top... I'm not sure you took this challenge seriously. However, I absolutely LOVE this photo! It's so dramatic and cool, full of movement, personality and atmosphere, the kind of wild creativity we don't get much here. I'm giving it 10 and putting it in my favourites as soon as the challenge is over.

Fresh Bedsheets

Nice soft lighting, and the use of the sheets is interesting, but there's something wrong with the composition here in my opinion. It just seems strange to me.

I think this is the best tracks shot in the challenge. I love the way the snow contrasts against the brown tones of the rest of the photo. Great composition, great angle, lovely lighting and textures. 10.

My Nose

Cute nose :). A lot like mine. The eyebrow piercing is cool too. The black and white is lovely and rich, and I like the grainy look. The way her eyes are looking off to the right is really cool.
