That would probably be my reaction, though hopefuly not that of someone experienced enough to enter waters like those.

Reminds me of an old Broomhilda (the witch) comic strip ... I like the repeating B&W patterns.

Nice piece of portraiture -- I like how you used the fur as background.

While a Sci-Fi "classic" motif, recent research at MIT seems to show that those foil hats will not protect one from any known radiations. : (

This one puts the focus on the boats -- I think the rich colors are mostly OK and really divide the photo into horizontal zones, though the busy-ness and harshness of light on the foliage is a little much. I would probably experiment with masking off the background area and try some things to reduce its dominance -- lightening, darkening, blurring, etc. Or maybe just crop some away and leave a panoramic crop ...

As much as I myself like showing the "whole picture" in this case I think that bit of sky really pulls attention away from your main subjects. Also, I wish this was framed just a bit to the left so that the prow of the farther boat could be seen more distictly and not look cut off.

I just ran across this picture in a thread, and noticed it was similar to some I've taken, then I noticed you're from Sonoma County where I was born.

Yeah, this should have scored better. I probably would have tried making it more "abstract" by making it a near-silhouette using Curves or Levels or something -- and probably getting the lights to turn psychedelic or something : )

That's a very interesting shot. It might be worth a return visit to zoom in and focus on the seagulls.

Very nice picture, but before you make prints, I think it would look "better" (if less "accurate") if you take out the catchlights on his nose.
