henriby nixterComment: I love the composition combining curves and straight lines, solid rigidity contrasted with the cyclist; processing suits the subject/environment well. |

Aerial Refueling by CorySmithComment: Originally posted by Fetor: ... I didnt think this fell into the 'Unusual Objects' category but it was an unusual occurrence so that was enough justification for me. |
Before I read your comments, I had virtually the same reaction. I've seen many films over the years depicting this activity, but never from this perspective nor this quality. Congratulations!
ETA: I just re-read that this is a helicopter, not a jet. I don't think I've ever seen that! :-) Message edited by author 2009-06-10 00:10:59. |

One Too Many Low Scores by LydiaComment: Originally posted by Jutilda: I don't see how anyone could even come close to saying DNMC. |
I'm sure it was the specificity of the challenge description:
Originally posted by Challenge Description: : Depict quitting this week in your entry... as long it's not quitting DPC. :) |
Without the title it could refer to photography in general, but the reference to low scores seems to tie it directly to the DPC experience.
I didn't vote on this one, and that's not necessarily my own opinion of the shot, but it's how I'd answer your question. |

Man Looking Over Ledgeby muur88Comment: For this technique I've found that the compositions which work best have all the major elements either parallel or perpendicular to the sensor plane -- the effect depends on objects at the same distance exhibiting the same degree of blurriness. In this case, the row of planters being blurry on the right doesn't look quite right to me. This looks like a good location -- I think a shot from here with people seated at the right-most table would work pretty well. |
