The Adventures Of Tom Sawyerby OneSweetSinComment: His grip on the brush looks a little funny -- maybe if he'd been holding it up. Tom's also frequently pictured in a tattered straw hat. Also, although the light looks strong, it looks a bit harsh -- logical since it's likely Winter and not Summer lighting. A Sepia or Duotone treatment may have made this look a little sunnier ...
Overall a good representation of a classic scene from the book. |

"The Lizard of Oz"by faidoiComment: Thank goodness someone had the nerve to post a twist on a title -- I'll be posting a few as out-takes after the voting, but I ended up going with a "straight" interpretation myself.
Good luck! Someone seems to have opened the drain on the humor reservoir around here lately ... |

Blue And Whiteby zeuszenComment: I like playing around with the colors in sky shots, but this looks pretty close to a straight inversion, which is not usually the best color combo in my opinion. I might be a teensy bit oversharp too, but I often like things with less sharpening than other folks.
The combination of cloud types, with the cumulus right down by the water makes a strong abstract of three major shapes, with a dynamic aspect accentuated by the streaky clouds.
I think it's an interesting "digital negative" (in the figurative sense) I personally would play around with more, but could be exactly what you want too. |

traveling through space for ever..and ever..and ever.by camelotnorthComment: Interesting that I just heard this week that Voyager I has (or is about to) crossed the point demarcating the Sun's sphere of influence, marking humankind's first official incursion into interstellar space. So good of you to take the time to travel out there and document it for us. Message edited by author 2003-11-12 19:47:15. |

Sea Rescueby browntComment: As you say, right place, right time ... great colors. The conical gradient caused by the angle/thickness of the rotor is a unique effect among helicopter shots I've seen. |
