It reminds me of a passage in a 1970s book "Design For The Real World" where the author thinks about new approaches to painting: now we spray on paint and it looks good for a while and gradually looks worse and worse. What if we sprayed on a seeding of lichen, which might be ugly at first but would gradually look better and better ... |
