| I agree the bread crumbs add an element of authenticity to the still life, looks less perfectly arranged (and sterile), that's a good thing! |

oh gosh .. !! .. i wanted to say oh god .. but felt it might have been inappropriate ..
well its out now . but really .. the emphasis isnt there with gosh ..
seriously this is BRILLIANT .. i'm not kidding when i say my mouth is watering .. and i want to go get some bread and butter and jam .. unfortunately my bread is nowhere as appetizing as you have made this loaf you made look .. mine is gluten free .. !! .. and my jam might be out of date .. by a LOT ..
anyway .. you sound like me .. making excuses .. but what you are saying are negatives are not negatives at all .. this totally works ..
we are our own worst critics .. .. .. hopefully .. !! ..

| Very good still life. I don't mind the bread crumbs at all. The whole thing looks real, not perfectly posed like a lot of the still lifes we see today. |

| Nice looking bread! I'd drop the bread container and have a little butter and jelly on the knife. |

Ha, I used another knife for the butter and jam - perhaps I should have just used the big knife as butter is about it all it could cut these days. |

| Lovely still life. It all looks like a nice feed. The crumbs are fine, they belong. I like the inclusion of the bread bin (?) which fills in the composition nicely and the word bread, repeated in the knife. |

| A tasty-looking loaf and great antique knife. At some point though I recommend ditching the machine and making the bread by hand (I mostly learned breadmaking from the Tassajara Bread Book, by the baker at a Zen Buddhist monastery) ... |
