Nice model shot. Not too keen on the blurring in the lower half, which looks like it was added in processing to me (either that or it was taken with a lensbaby), but the face is very well done and it's a nice change to see an expression that isn't a forced smile.

The softening along the left side looks artificial to me, as if added in post processing, and I'm really not a big fan of the soft white border either, it actually distracts me from the main subject of the shot.

This is a bit strange, and in interesting choice for a "Best Of..." entry.

I saw the cat fairly quickly, but as I look at it longer, it starts to take on a much more sinister quality for some reason. Now I'm imagining it in the context of someone hiding behind the brown thing (curtain?) and the evil cat just having found them.

This just feels like a photograph of a pet to me, and I'm afraid photographically it doesn't seem outstanding at all.

The front on flash is probably what's giving it the "snapshot" feeling, with the harsh reflections from both the dog and the surrounding details.

The combination of things in this shot don't really make sense to me. Is there a significance to the door? I can't tell what it is but it's there and I'm assuming you didn't just forget to close it. Then the right arm is cropped for no particular reason that I can tell while the door is taking a full third in the right of the frame, I'm afraid either I just don't get this shot or there's a lot wrong with it.

Nice high key, I like the fact you can just make out the line of the bath along the left hand side and then it just fades into the white, nice effect.

There's something a bit harsh about this shot that just isn't appealing to me. I can't quite tell whether it's something in the shot itself, or something in the way you've processed it, but it just feels very cluttered and harsh.
