Lighiting and shadows help to give the great shape of the spiral great interest. I think that the bottom center of the picture kind of distracts your eyes. I would be nice to just have the beautiful shape of the spiral.

Interesting subject. Would like to see a close look at the nail. Nails really have beautiful details if you get close enough. I like how you lit the nail. Bright lights on one side , dark , and then the reflection of the light.
The red light makes it look like a candle or match. The frame actual distracts. Try a white, black , or no frame.

Nice mushroom picture. I like how you were able to capture the dimples on the red head of the 'room. Some subtle shadows in there. The bright red color brings it out of the shot. I think a tiny bit more of contrast or levels would really help bring it up a notch.

The framing is nice. Not distracting at all. Good color choice.
