I was running a little short on ideas as I passed a tennis court this afternoon and this came to mind. There were four rather cute, teenage girls playing a game at the time. I have no doubt that they thought I was a little odd to be asking to borrow one of their balls so I could take a picture of it, but at least they didn't call the police. As far as I know, anyway.

A really original picture. You've included some great colours in what could have been a boring close-up. Excellent!

I wish the shadow were on the same angle as the lines. Next time move the sun over some. :) Seriouslly, nice contrasts. The ball itself is a little washed out and the focus in the top right is just a bit out of focus for me.

Well done shot but I am not sure I sense calm in this object.

Excellent composition - I like the use of diagonals, position of ball and of shadow also. Title doesn't work well for me.

Interesting take on the challenge I like this one. The combination of soft and hard edges and the sharply contrasting colours are appealing.

Did you do some curves editing?

Great close up. You can see the fuzziness of the tennis ball. Very vivid shadow on the court. You can almost feel the texture of the floor. Composition is good and interesting. "9"
