An invaluable drop of timeby zxaarComment by jomari: I've just come across this for the first time. What a lovely, delicate and sensitive portrait. And now, 10 years have passed since you took it. I bet you still value it dearly. |

whats its name.by zxaarComment by HarveyG: A Rose, by any other name. Lovely soft image, a bit of grain, not serious. Decent composition. Not a lot of bokeh to be seen BEHIND the subject (i.e. Background OOF area) |

whats its name.by zxaarComment by desertsnail: I like the shot, but for me the border is overpowering- When it first pops up on the screen it's hard to see the beautiful lines and subtlety in the flower at first because of the sharp contrast. The voter's first impression is a blob of white surrounded by a sea of stark black (people are rushing through :( ). I'd recommend a much lighter border. I won't vote it down for that, but wanted to let you know. Good luck in the challenge! |

Poetryby zxaarComment by Covert_Oddity: This is just stunning, it's one of those shots that I see and fail to understand how it scored below 6 never mind below 5!
Glancing through the other comments I agree that it's almost in the style of an impressionist painting, but still retaining all its photographic detail. I like the pinks and orange that you have here, if you hadn't told me otherwise I would have believed the scene was actually those colours originally!
It certainly is one of those that belongs on a wall, if it was mine that's exactly what I would do with it!
Oh and BTW, I'm Scottish, not Aussie (I only live here), so I'm used to my teams losing at pretty much everything :) |
