Biography: I studied as a field ecologist, worked for Parks Canada as a Park Warden (Don't feed the squirrels, m'am), then for another federal agency as a Detector Dog Handler (Sniff, sniff... Oooo! Contraband!). I am now just switching gears and have begun a new career as an Investigator with a third federal agency. Onward and upward.

I started shooting while working for Parks Canada back in 1993. They supplied an old Pentax 35 mm SLR, old but good glass and almost as much slide film as I could shoot. Just puttered around trying to add interesting shots the the park's 40, 000+ slide collection. I purchased a Canon Rebel 35 mm in 1999 before heading for Costa Rica for three months. Learned the hard way that tropical sun will play tricks on your camera for exposure. Purchased my s602z in August 2003 and haven't touched film since. I made the jump to DSLR in mid-June 2004 and do not regret it.

Mostly a lurker these days. Haven't made the time to get out and shoot and my PC is showing signs of aging. Looking forward to submitting in the future. Thanks for taking the time to read this dribble.

Oh yeah, and I'm Jacko's older bro. I'm almost as silly as he is, but he is the king. Gotta love him! I am also SamuelDPC's godfather.

That's it. Glad to be here.
