If we really have a hope of publishing this, I'd suggest to get photographer's releases AS they upload their photos, at the same time. It will save time and headache in the rush at the end, and sort out anybody who does NOT want to take part of this.

Id be happy to have a visitor, but it looks like he will already have seen some sights around here.
Once this gets rolling with a few images uploaded and the plans for a book/donation up it will be much easier to get more traction on facebook. The time to push for big numbers and press will be towards the end.
I really like how this is taking shape.

Some of us won't/can't go to Facebook. However, since we can all download as well as upload files from the SugarSync folder, Mae's post reminds me that we can post any "news" as (dated!) text files, readable by almost anyone using anything ...

Or, just post the news here ... :-)

Yes, people tried uploading. I moved everything to the Sample folder and created the first folder for Mak's photos. You're right, we can upload full size jpegs there.

Have you tried using the application?

That needs a newer operating system than I'm using, and I'd rather use a browser than install more programs. However, I was able to see some stuff using the link in the email update they sent me today.

It looks like people are just uploading random small test images right now? I though part of the idea was to upload a large (hi res) version; otherwise we could just post them at DPC ...

FWIW I'm planning to avoid Facebook ...

Im trying to get some public interest because If we can really do this and get a book out and kindle it sell it etc with all proceeds going to Children in Need I think it will be great for this site, the photographers involved and most of all The Children themselves. I have not been in touch with the charity yet until the FB page is well in the 100's (65 now I think) and also when the blog is in swing then they have something to look at.

Also I would like to try to find a publishers (Penguin?) who will take this on.
