The digital camera that was given to me on my 58th birthday literally changed my life. For health reasons, I needed to increase my physical activity. The camera gave me a reason to go outdoors, and look at walking as an adventure, not a dreaded activity.
Since June 2004, I have walked and shot and walked and shot nearly every day. I walk in my small suburban town, follow the multi-branched river in our county, revel in the parks of Lake St. Clair, and in the hills and woods of Upstate New York, PA, MD.
Hundreds of pictures later, I am still thrilled to look through my viewfinder (or the monitor) and aim to capture that one little moment in my time. |
