 Used a 1.4 extender on my 70-200 but I would estimate the sheep was only @30 yards. I think the long focal length gives it a nice compression though. By the way those are burrs on his fur not ticks. Created a layer to brighten up the eye area, another to darken the background and one more for some of the fur & horns.

Collecting just a bit of snow on him. Nice detail; I might smooth out the background just a tad more so it doesn't compete with the sheep so much.

Very nice capture and works well with the square crop. Nicely balanced by the grasses on the right, too. Title needs work. :-)
