 Nothing like an extreme last minute entry to get your blood pumping before rollover :). I actually conceived of, shot, and processed this after I finished my love entry. We'll see if this was a mistake...

For some reason, the idea of spelling out NAILS popped into my head. I didn't have a good way to bend a nail into an S, so I instead went with NAIL and added a hammer for a little extra visual interest.

I lit this with two flashes. One reflected off an umbrella from camera right, just a little higher than the flash, and pointed almost straight on (not tilted). The second flash was positioned to the left of the block of wood. Attached to this flash was a honeycomb. Both flashes had 1/4 CTO gel. The background was an un-used pressboard shelf from our bookshelf.

So far the best concept stock type shot, and I'm almost done voting. Well done. I've been voting low on those who take pictures of literal words, so as a setup shot, you've done quite well to integrate an action with a subject.
