My baby girl 6 months old, wearing my dress that my grandfather bought for me in USA. My mother kept it for her all this time.

Thanks too all of you who are telling me the focus should be on the babys eyes and not on the roses of the beautiful stroller. I knew the moment I pushed the button on the camera that the focus was on the wrong place and due to me not being able to control the baby :) and being really inexperienced photographer I couldnt fix it.
Today I know better, I have been improving my technique, I have learned to manouver the camera better and what all the buttons are for.
I just really love this photo despite its imperfections and I wanted to show you. I see that inspite people focusing on the wrong focus some people are also see what I saw, so that makes me happy. And thank you anyway for telling me the focus is in the wrong place :)

I just want to say thanks to the really helpful comment about making the photo softer all over, I was actually thinking that myself too. I will try that, thank God my background is in prosessing and I am just a beginner at photography, I am hopeful that next year I will be much better.

And to those thinking the stroller couldnt be an apple of an eye, my friend the owner begs to differ :)

LOL! Adorable. I like the softness, and the classic dress and pram.

This is adorable...LOVE the expression on her gorgeous little face....I only wish she was in focus.

Unfortunately, the contrast and sharp focus of the baby buggy draws my eye down away from the softer focus on the sweet face.

How endearing, you're winning heart votes with this, and rightly so.

What a regal carriage your little princess has.

The point of focus is the fancy stroller, so is that the apple of your eye? There really isn't anything particularly strong that makes the image stand out.

Beautiful shot, but I feel like the main focus is on the pram, not the baby, which I don't think is what you intended (especially based on the title)

I wish the focus was on her face and not the floral plaque on her pram, it's pretty but I feel that your focus really should be on the little one, especially since the title of the shot suggests you intended her to be the main subject.

I gave this a 5 and I'll tell you why. The title leads me to believe that the cutie pie in the carrier is the apple of your eye. But then the focus is on the carriage. So which is it? My preference would have been to see the babe in focus. Also, since you have such beautiful softness in the background, I would have wanted to see complementary lightness in front, instead of this strong black color.

Love the classic elements here. Very cute shot. I almost wish it was all soft focus -the metal in focus seems a shame with those beautiful baby eyes begging for detail.

I haven't seen a baby carriage like that in decades! Are they even still made?
02/14/2012 01:11:27 PM
the baby needs to be in focus.
02/14/2012 11:28:24 AM
Looks from an age gone by,shame there is not more depth of field as the focus is on the pram and the face is not sharp.Cute all the same.

I was totally LOVING this.. until I got to the flower oval... and I realized that the focus was on it.. instead of on the adorable baby. If you'd cropped it off before the focused flower oval... I think everyone would have "bought into" the whole dreaminess... *sigh*

That's a rather mischevious look you're getting - she's gonna be a handful! Wonderful keepsake.

cute picture of the baby and nice in the old stoller, just too bad the baby is not more in focus
02/10/2012 02:11:16 PM
I wish the baby was focused on better. My eyes are focusing on the flower print on the side.
02/10/2012 01:46:43 PM
Did you use auto focus? It is more on the perambulator than on her. ;( She is a love!!!

would be much nicer if focus was on her eys
02/10/2012 07:46:12 AM
Sorry but I think the focus should have been on the baby, and not the side of the stroller, but I like the coloring of the image, nice "retro" look to everything in the frame.
