 I used Jasc. Paint shop pro 7 to do basic editing on this photo. I enhanced the colors and sharpened it up. Other than that nothing else was done.

I think it needs something in the foreground

Too bright, no contrast. The hint of trees in the foreground is distracting, either add more of the trees, or none at all.

I really don't like the trees at the lower right corner. I would have cropped them out or included them, that way you could have given the photo more depth.
