Shot with a 2x converter. Cropped, reduced noise and color tweeked in LR3. In PSCS5, blued up the sky, sharpened, stroked border, darkened edges and coverted to jpg.

FYI, Looks like this image is highly suffering from chromatic aberration (the blue and yellow outlines), which really hurts the sharpness of the image.

Excellent photo! Maybe later you can share your editing technique. I have a tough time editing any bird against the sky.

I've been trying to shoot eagles myself, and I know how hard it is to get them in flight. The pose, lighting and angle are great. Shot is probably not as sharp as you would have liked and is over sharpened to compensate. I hope to get one like this someday.

Great capture angle, the facial expression on the Eagle is great... I assume you were zoomed all the way in and panning for this shot and it may have been just slightly OOF? It seems very processed, possibly over-sharpened. If you like PM me and let's see the original and what PP software you use possibly different results can be achieved (if you are interested). Good luck in the challenge.
