A dog silhouette against a very blurry background. It has lots of graphic appeal in a colorful way. The blue and yellow work well together and the dog's shape become very ominous. Hope? Don't see it.

The two biggest factors I used in my rating were: 1) If I came upon this image outside of the challenge, what word would it evoke ("hope" wasn't in the top five); and, 2) What do I think of the quality of the image (no detail and out of focus). If there were no title, I'd have trouble figuring out the theme. As a result, I couldn't find any positive points for which to give credit. Hey, that's just me. I sure that there were others who really liked it.

Another funny one. I like the yellow house, love the dog, even the antennas belong. I give it a high vote. Enjoyable picture.

The silhouette seems to be nice and sharp, but all the rest, most of the pixels in fact, are not. I find this distracting. I'm not sure I find "hope" in this so the tie in to the challenge seems weak to me.

as a photo, i see what you were going for, but personally, i would have rathered more detail in the dog and less saturation everywhere else.

I think it would have been better to see the dog's face a little better. The colors are nice though.
