I am surprised at the comments regarding the pping on the model. It's intentional and is representative of the era - especially the comment re. her heard piece as that is sharp as a tack - to me, a book cover would not be a crisp portrait .. it would be soft and dreamy - however I really appreciate all comments. Thank you.

I was going to go with this edit .. not as soft but thought it just looked like a portrait

I was going to use this one too but thought the one I picked best suited the title of the book.

Perfect for a book cover! Doesn't anyone read romance novels any more? This is exactly what you'd see. And love that freckle!

Nice portrait. The pose and the outfit is great, but I think it's a bit over processed. The skin is too smooth, the head piece looks off(too much sharpening or noise reduction maybe?) and the hairline looks odd.

I love challenges like this where you learn something if one just spends the time - just learned what this phrase means -----------. The subject is dressed all in white (white being symbolic for purity) and looks the picture of innocence. But the title reveals all is not so. Lighting on the subject is soft complimenting the soft nature of the fur and also invoking the thought this lady is a soft/gentile creature...akin to a swan (I sometimes think Swan Lake and the woman in the frame is a ballerina) While there is an overall softness to the image to give that sense of dainty/gentile nature, I still at times hunger for more detail in the hair and lashes (processing seems that it has been smoothed)

Great Idea but to me is seems to be over-processed a bit. It has started to get that oil-painting look from processing. But it is a great portrait attempts, seems to have sufficient lighting and a very pretty lady :)

Beautiful woman and wardrobe, but she's just been pp'd into plastic. And her headpiece is oddly blurred.

This one sadly isn't a high scorer for me; it's far too smoothed-out, you've lost all skin detail and the fur is mostly a blur. The beauty spot on her back is really distracting too. I don't personally feel that background was a good choice and the contrast has lost the details of her hair too. The composition is fine, the styling is nice and the light looks Ok; I think with a sharper focus and less softening, this could have been great.
