Great story telling blur; helps to have the stationary young girl in the pic, and her head position adds to the story.

i think her head is titled just a little bit too far

Of your duckpond images this one is the one I like best. There's so much to hold my interest and the portrayal of mood is wonderful. I think the posture of the figure adds so much to this.

You have to share credit with the ducks. They swam perfectly for you. A ballet of ducks. Someone should make a ballet about a lake full of ... oh, never mind.

Ben, your pinhole at 6400ISO shots are wonderful. Just the right amount of soft blurry noise.

Wonderful mood and feel. I like how you "muted" this scene (which was probably rather busy in real life) with your interpretation.

all mood, timeless beyond time, and how did you get the model to tilt her head just so...

Yup there's the blue hand... :) Oddly I appreciated it enough for a 7. These images are growing on me, like a fungus :)
If you ever win a challenge with a pinhole shot how are you going to validate it? :) Email them a picture of the tin foil with needle hole? hehe.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Ben, I know this is yours but I'm not letting that exclude me from commenting or scoring. I love how relaxed this is - it makes me what to take a deep breath; it feels like a warm evening. The blurry ducks are amazing - just enough form to remain coherent. I'm particularly fond of the trees in the background and how they seem to be illuminated. Of course, your daughter is so important. Like a catalyst, I feel she doesn't take an active role in the image but none of it would work if she were absent.

Critical stuff: I'm not sure I like that lighter area below the wall of the left edge of the frame.

Overall: Marvellously understated stuff.

Was it meant to be this out of focus? It's not bad, it actually works well I find.

Looks like a lazy, dreamy sort of afternoon, just watching the ducks in the pond.

Lovely, lovely, lovely; like a long lost memory found again. It's fascinating how certain recollections seem to be our common property. 8 & thank you.
