These are some of my cool cats... brave folks that volunteered to pose for me. Let's see what I did... a crop, layers curves to get the BG all black, some cloning smooth out the BG colour, ditched the colour to convert to sepia & I think that's it!

A very nice study and very well posed. I would preffer a horizontal cropping (less space above) but the image even as is carries a lot of strenght. 7

Interesting image, but I find that there is too much "dead space" in the upper part of the photo. Maybe you should have considered a 3:2 or 1.25:1 crop instead of a square crop.

this reminds me of a sculpture. I would have preferred the camera to be lower to the ground (and closer to the couple) so that the viewer could share in the intimacy of the shot. I like the use of negative space to isolate the subject.

Now this is interesting it looks like a shot from a the Karma sutra or someother Hindu book on love. Well done

Nice pose -- could have used a little more focus on the feet. like the color choice.

I probably would have rotated this image 90 degrees clockwise. They seem to be floating in mid air and the angle of view is rather strange for me.

This is beautiful. I like the warm skin tones against the black background and the shapes of the tangled bodies. The viewpoint seems very strange to me, is it taken from directly above?

The colour in this is nice. It's a soft, relaxed photo.

I find when using a pure black background, people need to really be standing up otherwise it appears as if the subject is floating in mid-air.

This is what has happened here. There is nothing to suggest any kind of flooring so it look s a bit lost just plonked in the middle.

Your pose - whilst probably not for everyone, does have good qualities to is - you joined, combined and merged into one which gives me a sense of harmony.

I can't help but feel had this been shot on a nice antique wooden floor then your score would be much higher than it is.

The yellow cast isn't needed IMHO - black and white or subdued colors would work better here for me. Choosing color casts in people is very difficult -yellow looks like jaundice - red is like scolding - blue is like dead people - green is like illness. etc etc

Full marks for the other qualities though.

A beautifully conceived and executed photo. The pose is very honest and straightforward, I love the tones and the immaculate black background. Absolutely wonderful shot.

I like the way you have them posed and I like the sepia on the black bg. I'm not sure about the angle you shot this at, though. It seems like you were higher up than them and it makes them look like they are going face first, down a hill. I also feel there's a big too much negative space in the ULC. I would like to see this again shot from a lower angle. Maybe even eye level with them...?

Nice work, though. To even enter this type of contest takes guts on the part of the photographer and the victims...I mean, models. :-)

great positioning and pose, the contrast are good but could have been a bit stronger

A very bold shot, nicely executed. Very effective lighting and background. The man's pose is very brave, exhibiting a vulnerability that I imagine most men would be uncomfortable with displaying in public. In this pose, the woman has taken on a mothering dynamic, and I think this shot is a very interesting exporation of the woman as sexual care-giver which is not explored very often in photography. Or maybe I'm just reading too much into this! Either way, great shot.

The topheavy cropping feels awkward in this shot.
