I wondered the same thing....


I was trying to create a juxtaposition between the two different cultures while at the same time showing that just maybe co-existance is possible.

gr8 photo especially in light of its significance to todays society. Very moving i may have just dropped the shot a fraction lower so that the full cross can be seen but thats more of a personal opinion than anything else :)

A stunning image and one that relies on a less-is-more approach. I love that there is so little on display and yet such a strong sense of theme. The negative space really plays a role here. Wonderful.

Ok, I'm confused. A veiled muslim with a catholic rosary? Or am I missing something? Regardless, it is a striking photo , well balanced with nice contrast. I would have liked it even more if it was cropped with an additional 1/2 inch added on the bottom so the whole rosary shows.

Excellent concept & execution. Nice one. The more I look at it, better it gets.
But I am a bit uneasy with the shine on her nail and the cross.

This is a great image. At first I wasn't sure it really fit the subject of the challenge so I looked at it again. I think the position of the eye is what makes it successful. It makes me wonder what she is looking at. Great job!

Beautiful photo. It's amazing what can be expressed by viewing part of one eye. It's amazing that you had the vision to "see" this and then make it happen in your composition. Striking and powerful.
