Brendon, I had voted but hadn't realised that today was the deadline to get my comments done before the challenge voting ended. Yours was my top choice in the challenge, and I was planning on smacking you lightly about the ears with an Order of the Thumb in recognition of your clever, original and weirdly beautiful photograph. I hope that you will still accept a belated award, and my congrats & thanks for your startling picture.

yikes. The pic itself takes away from the circle. Great photo though, amazing detail, just not close enough to the challenge for me

ewww... I totally appreciate the image... and the processing and the 'in your face'ness about this! But... If I saw this image outside of the challenge... I would not say to my self, "Oh! Self! Look! Circle!!"

So... I dunno.

I'm not voting, so my opinion doesn't count as much... :D
But... I do love the image.
