 Unusually for us, the pics that bear_music and I submitted for this challenge were taken at the same spot during the same outing. It was an exceptionally foggy morning with no wind, although the fog had begun to lift and the sun break through by the time I took this. My image was taken standing on the bridge facing the open water, Bear's masterpiece was taken on the other side of the bridge overlooking the pond.

No one has commented on it, but I like the arc of buoys, and chose this image over my later ones as that arc became less prominent as the boat got closer.

Very little processing required. The fog did most of the work for me!! Used Nik SEP to add grain, increase contrast, and increase structure to bring out the ripples created by the boat.

I actually thought this might have been Bear's until I came across Bear's image which couldn't be anyone but. Had me puzzled about whose this could be. Really nice image! Got an 8 from me.

Reminds me of Bear_Music. The grain is useful here: along with the fog on the water, the lonely-looking boat, and the low-contrast processing, the grain adds to the sense of desolation and old-timeiness. Nicely done.
