A shot from my backyard. The sun was very nicely hitting this rose, so I took a slightly longer shutter and lower aperture than normal to get the glowing aspect.

whoa! let me get my shades on! this is an interesting entry in a tough challenge. i think i'd like it more if you'd just come around ever so slightly to the right before shooting it.

whew! lower the brightness, change the hue so the flower is more red, raise contrast a tad to make the darks a little darker, etc.

although, maybe you did the opposite of that just so a flower would fit the challenge. 3

pretty.

The colors are great, but the flower lacks detail. Seems slightly fuzzy.

It looks like it would be a pretty nice rose - but the overexposure ruins it. I know it's probably deliberate for the neon color, but it doesn't work for me.

You've captured the neon colors but it appears to be at the expense of the image. The flower appears very processed (oversaturated, perhaps?). I think the extreme post-processing would have worked with a tighter crop--perhaps just the edge of the flower and some of the yellow? It would create a more dynamic composition which could carry the weight of the digital processing. As it is now, the composition, showing the flower in it's entirety in it's environment, is too natural for the unnatural effect. I hope I'm making my point well. ;-D

A bit of a turn-off for me in that to get this much brightness / saturation significant detail was sacrificed in the image. Just doesn't feel right to me.
