A great place full of little wooden piers, around 20 of them, just a photographer's paradise.
This is another one of burning steel wool, with my good friend Sam ( insomniac and Paulo.

As for the photo, we had the opportunity of doing this with high tide, which required a lot of planning.
Actually, we had it setup for 2 months, it was just lucky that the challenge came when it did.
These piers are over 2m high and when in low tide there's mud everywhere. So we had to time it to get the sunset and the high tide around the same time of day.
As for the photo itself, we looked up a tutorial on how to burn steel wool, this was the best we found:

Please be very careful when trying this, it's very hot and you could burn something!
Then we setup the cameras and it was a normal long exposure photo.
Editing is mostly a lot of selective sharpening, and a few tweaks with the colour temperature of the photo.
Also, as a few people mentioned, the place was awesome even without the pyrotechnics.
