Great shot Joe, perfectly sharp and at the right moment! The trimmed grass in front tells me this is in your back yard :).
I agree about the shallower depth of field, might have worked better. Personally I would even make the background darker. But a great catch nonetheless! |

Cool shot... could use just a little shallower depth of field to really bring out the subject matter. |

Excellent find! Nice capture! Lighting, tones and focus are great! I have never seen them with snakes before! |
