 Another black umbrella combo. I used 2 images, one blurred, one not. Combined them with layer blending. Some results were copied back into the stack to use as another layer. And so on. I was looking for something that would give me the feeling of that first moment, emerging from a dream, when the dream reality & the waking reality are unevenly combined in my consciousness. Hard to explain. It all makes perfect sense to me in that first moment & then later, after I have finished my morning chores, I have no memory of it at all.

I love those glowing colours. The black seems to give them the richness of died silk. I know what you mean about that transitory dream/wake moment. The more you try to pin it down the more it flits away.

The minute I saw the thumb, I couldn't wait to delve into this. So rich and vibrant. This would be lovely on a large canvas.
