Taken with a flash bounced off a reflector.
Brought in from RAW in B&W with noise reduction and slight sharpening, blacks and contrast up.
Layer of dodging and burning to enhance natural shadows and highlights and lighten her face a bit.
Contrast increase in PS as well as a slight Lighten Center filter in NIK Color Efex.

Love this shot. I'm sure the baby felt safe and secure. I've seen similar ones where the baby's sleeping tummy down on a single hand showing the bicep. Hope you try that one as well. Wonderful keeper.

It's fun, funny, even beautiful. Do dismembered arms holding a baby suggest protection? I don't know...

Sweet image. Although I'm finding the disembodied arm rather disturbing, as the black t-shirt is such a clean line as to make the arm look severed.

I wish you would have left a bit of definition on the black shirt to separate it from the background because without that separation, it looks like the baby is being held by two severed arms. : /
