Took a shot of a friend's work clothes.

Photo was converted to B&W in Aperture, then the flag patches re-colored.

Then sharpened in Photoshop & duplicated main layer. Duplicate layer has gaussain blur applied, with foreground erased, layer set to about 60% opacity.

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July.

Just one comment was removed. It had nothing to do with photography :)
I submitted this photo because I thought it had nice B&W tones, selective desat seems to be a tough sell unless done just right as I am learning here. But I am here to learn, so each challenge has been interresting. I enjoy and take to heart all the comments about what can be done better etc... to make better photographs. I am not trying to offend anyone with my photographs, so didn't appreciate the non photography related politically motivated commentary. The five 1's make statements along the same lines, but as with anything to each their own :)

Thanks for your concern, and votes (whatever the score) have a great week and good luck in any challenges everyone is in.

Beautiful b/w conversion. I'm not crazy about the selective desat.

I'm not normally a fan of selective saturation, but in this case it's tastefully done.
