 This is a hard drive set in front of a monitor playing a winamp visualization and lit from the side with a flash and my homemade diffuser.

This was the hardest hard drive to ever open, but I learned a lot about focus and lighting as this is lit by a flash, shot at a small aperture, slightly longer shutter speed than what I could do hand held.

It's true aperture controls the flash input.

It was hard to focus on the tip of the reader.
