 Photographer’s Notes
One great thing about living on a lakeshore is I get unobstructed views of sky and in the Pacific Northwest we get some GREAT skies. We get some month-long-leaden-soggy-softbox-skies as well, but Tuesday we had a great sky. Maybe the most interesting thing about the planet is its skies.

I wish you'd totally desated this image, because the two touches of yellow, in the middle of the clouds and at the horizon, are incredibly distracting. That said, amazing sky.

Nice coloring & tone. Feels simultaneously dark & soft. I looked at this for several moments before even noticing the water- interesting choice of crop to only give 1/10th of the image to the water? The main black cloud reminds me of the 'the nothing' via 'The Never Ending Story'

I love the tones you used here and the little bit of sun showing through the clouds really makes the image, imo. (voted earlier)

You don't typically think of Ben doing skies, yet I looked at his portfolio again and you are spot on. I'm crazy for the clouds. I love how it is almost the entire shot with a touch of land to ground it. Good luck. 7
