I had originally entered this image for the challenge but then my new lightbox arrived in the post so I played around a bit and decided to go with the other one.
I thought that the angle of the knife would lose me vital scores and also it was shot on card that had been rolled up and the ripples from that showed in the image.
I did like this one, I liked the shadow of the knife and also as you say the position of woody looks more dramatic.
But, also as you say, I think that people might of thought it was a bit "iffy".
I am happy enough with the score from Woodys final moments , maybe this might have done better, I will never know! |

I like this better than the original. It's more engaging, and woody (poor woody!) seems to be looking up in way that adds a dramatic effect.
I would probably slide the white balance over to warm it up a bit, but I think this might have scored better. I dunno, does blood scare the DPC crowd? |
