I took this really early in the month. That is Aidan sitting outside of our church building window reading one of his books. I had my camera there because i was taking portraits of congregation members on behalf of one of our missionaries going out. Anyways - I saw him outside and thought it looked cool. He didnt know I was taking the pic. I wish the car wasn't there and I would have liked to clone out the yellow line but thought removing either or both would be too much, and then I would have to deal with replicating the moisture in the glass (wasn't rain) and i didn't think I could do that well. I had other images this month that were more "friendly" but this one just really stuck out for me. Different and pleasing to my eye and certainly different for my work. I was glad I saw the moment, as he got up 10 seconds later.

I think the yellow line and the line of the car make this all the more interesting.
Wonderful image.... love the composition and the story.

funny, now I stopped to read the other comments and realize how divided they were.

Lovely, Tim, and quite glad the car and the line are both there - they balance the photograph very well.

I was initially put off by the brand newness of the clipboard (with label). But I tend to think that means the scene is as you found it, which I appreciate more than a set up moment. Nice.

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: Stunning, thoughtful composition, great light and an interesting story make this a bit of a stand out for me. I'm really fond of the glow too.

Critical stuff: I might have been tempted to clone away the cord on the left.

Overall: Compelling work. And a bit different too. I likw that.

modern yet artsy, the yellow line is a touch distracting, but otherwise terrific.

An interesting photo. I suspect that there is less to the intent than I want there to me. I have looked for imagery in the collection on the sill, but can't fathom it if there is. Sort of wish the car wasn't in view. Nonetheless, and aesthetically pleasing photo. 7

Awesome perspective and mood created here. I like the natural border, rain on the window, wooden windowsill. It all makes for a nice shot.
