 This tree caught some of the flying metal in the Joplin, MO EF5 tornado on May 22.

Is this tornado destruction? Beautiful yet so tragic! Powerful image and I hope everyone else catches the lighter than air part of this image.

great contrast and values, awesome composition- the real feel of "art against the backdrop of tragedy of a tornado-" feel; or perhaps it is art IN the midst of, or AS tragedy itself. You've provoked a bunch of thought, good job.

Crazy scary image, not sure what this is the aftermath of but it certainly captures the horror of it.
