The little flower pot is about the size of a thimble and contains miniature dried roses. I used a sheet of red plastic as a filter to add some 'glow' and shined a tiny flashlight through it for highlights.
Post processing: Slight Levels, Contrast, Bright, USM.

I like the color of the single red rose but I may have liked it more if the small roses or maybe the pot were a different color. The two shades of red seem to clash to me. Like the lighting & reflection.

I love this composition, however on my screen it seem a little too red. Very nice and good luck!

Great composition. I love the vertical versus horizontal aspects of the subject matter. The lighting is good also. I think that given all the strong red in the picture that a dark background and bench top would have really emphasized the colour even more.

I think I may have like this a little bit better if I could have seen some of the stems of the minature roses, but I do like the idea that you came up with a lot here.
