 I had a lovely dead fern frond entered but I prefered this shot. My spider shots don't normally do that well. I like to believe it's because most people don't like them so score them low or don't vote, but it is more likely I don't do good spider shots (I would love to have a macro lens).

I positioned my self to get the bokeh effect I felt added to the shot. I would have loved to have the setting sun hitting the Golden Orb spider but I was too late.

I would love a mid 5 for this but this spider (been in my yard for several months and featured in some other challenges) but I'm expecting my usual high 4's.

Man, this is a great shot! I hadn't seen it before, but you've captured it perfectly. The bokeh is nice, but the point of view is what sells this image, with the radiating web and the spider lurking at the center. Very nice.

My only critique of this shot is that I wish the spider was holding a laser gun while smoking a cigar. But since those don't exist at that size.. 10.

Oh I love this. There is something very magical about spiderwebs. Nice bokeh. My one nit is the "hot" spot in the upper left. I really like it.
