Great capture of a great scene. I like how you balanced the exposure here, something not easy with that bright white snow.

There is a really interesting phenomenon occurring with the composition here. As expected, my eye starts with the lines on that post near the corner, follows along to the left, the other fence to the barn, take a good look at the barn, along the back fence to the right, and then back to the corner, to do it all over again. And again. My eyes are penned in by the pen! It's really interesting, and if it was on purpose it's masterful. Hell, even by mistake it's quite a cool viewing experience.

I think the rather bland sky and the detail-less hills in the distance lend to this experience. There really isn't anything higher int he shot to distract.

I do also like how the barn is a bit silvery, which does set it off a bit from the rest of the shot. Great photo.

Austere, cold, and perfect in B&W.

It's incredibly difficult to get good balance of detail on snow, sky and buildings. I like the composure of this, but the ground feels a little washed out, and incredibly for negative space, tends to draw my eye towards it.
