 I can't take credit for this one ,(except for the dodgy execution). It's my slant on a fantastic image by fellow Melbourne photographer Bill Gekas. Pose is a little awkward but you take what you get when working with kids and with only 27 entries at the moment I'm hoping it's not a complete flop.

A magnificent photo with exceptional lighting and a great subject. I've just pointed my 2 former dancer daughters to it, so they can see it and appreciate your fine work.

This could be the basis of a new Hummel figurine, cute to the point that it puts diabetics at risk of spontaneous coma.

That said, the setup is very good, the lighting is almost perfect (ideal would have had a bit of rim or hair light to define the shadows) and if this is your daughter I encourage you to use her as a model as often as you can while she still likes it. the processing is very deft. On the whole, top 3, if the vote doesn't go anti-cute it should go blue.

As a whole, I voted down arranged and studio type shots in this challenge, because I thought conceptually they were a cop-out. There is little difficulty in finding 13 of any item and putting them together. This one goes a bit beyond that, having provided a story. I also really am a fan of your lighting. So, good job taking an oft repeated approach and making it your own.
