Made by zooming under exposure. Also made out of focus to look like the angel is coming down from the sky and make it seem a little mysterious and in motion.

Initial: Wow! My eye went right to the angels face.

Composition/Technical: The composition, lighting and focus all work together to create a surreal effect.

I don't get the feeling that the angel is moving away from people, or that the angel is actually moving at all. I get more sensation from my eye, i.e. my eye is zooming to the subject which is merely hovering there. Time has has seemed to stop as the viewer is arrested by the image/prospect of the angel coming. Is this death coming? Or is it a good message? I don't know, because I am caught in limbo and I am left to wonder.

The colors work well together.. monochromatic... because it adds to the surreal/dream-like effect.

Would I change anything? No. I rated this a 9. How would it be a 10? I don't know.. maybe the angel seems too plastic. I know you can't find a real angel :0) Just loses the long-term impact as the viewer studies the image closely. Maybe just "reality" setting in. Sorry. No clear answer there.

Wow! Cool effect. It's a bit overexposured but very creative. Also fulfills the challenge in a different way. I like the photo. -stephan

Interesting. But almost like the subject is falling away, not toward.

How do you manage the effect?

neat shot but it looks like digital art, not photography

Actually it looks like the angel is leaving! hehe I scare off people like that though.

.... I had this ranked as a 7, but I think I'll upgrade it to a 8. I'm not certain what that oval ring is, but I think I like it... remonds me of a solar eclipse. WOnder what it would look like totally desaturated? Or if the lighting was yellowish (like sun rays). Hmmm...

Wow, I wonder how you did that ring of ligght. Title really conveys the feal of the picture. The lighting needs to be a little lesh harsh on the angel, so that more of its form is not burned out. Overall though, pulled off very well.
