 How did I do this? Held the scissors, pressed the shutter (camera handheld, btw), and moved my hand away very quickly. I had both points of the scissors on the desk, but I accidentally flicked the scissors as I moved my hand away, producing this shot. Aesthetically I don't think this is near a perfect shot - but you try taking a shot of falling scissors, handheld, while moving your hand away at f/3.5 and a 1/250 shutter. :-)

A neat "frozen instant" shot and one that is much more creative and interesting than the "drops in the liquid" variety. Love the scissors shadow.

good shot. would have liked it more if the scissors had been a tad more to the left, eliminating the left corner shadow and including all of the scissor shadow.
