Post challenge:
Thanks everyone for taking the time to vote and comment!

Before submission, a friend of mine said he didn't think the shot fit the challenge too well since he found there was no element that didn't belong. In my mind I thought the eraser was the object that was obvious but once again, he was right. I'm too stubborn I guess. : )
I'm really glad it ended where it did since I'm sure a lot of people found it DNMC.

I'm also surprised at the almost identical shot that someone linked, I've seen similar shots with other objects but never one with the colored pencils.

WOW, a very creative shot and I like the color array here. The eraser kinda pulls the image down - a zipper slider may have added more punch. A great composition and a well executed image nonetheless

Great photo, but it seems as though everything in this shot belongs...

Just LOVE this photo -- definitely top 3 for me for it's striking color and simplistic composition! First 8 of the challenge from me!

I was going to do that shot, so glad I didn't. It looks good, but the eraser needs to be straightened

Nice shot! I'm sure someone will comment on the eraser seeming to "belong" as being part of the zipper... but it's a beautiful shot.

Neat photo, I've seen this done before and even tried it myself although it didn't turn out this well. I don't really see the connection to the challenge description, though. What is out of place? Is it the eraser? I'm not sure.
