So have you heard back about why this got dq'ed? I can't tell how it could. It sucks that it happened! this is really cool! lol :/

This happened to me a couple of months ago. It hurts. I picked up your ribbon for which I am grateful, but it's not the way I like to win. So sorry. Apparently, I did the same thing as you when I was dqued.

I"m totally bummed this was disqualified. I emailed them for clarification as to what I did wrong.. and am hoping to hear back. I checked and double-checked the editing guidelines, to make sure I was adhering to the rules, before entering it into the contest. I thought for sure I'd followed all the rules. Thank you anyways for all your nice comments. Darn :|

My first ribbon! I'm so excited.

Here's the story behind the image: I've been working on a new series I call the 'Villain' series. I'll be taking the classic male horror movie villains, and depicting them in their natural environments, but put a pinup spin on their costumes. The pretty ladies are always the first to go in horror movies.. this time they're the villains! I just so happened to be working on my second villain, Freddy, the week of this challenge. Perfect timing :)

The rest can be seen here: //www.danimouser.com/photography/archives/744

And for those who say the look is not Freddy.. in my opinion, he is the only horror movie villain who could ever get away with an evil smirk like this. All the other villains have to be so serious ;)

Thanks so much for the ribbon!! :D

Great props and lighting! Wish the model looked a bit meaner though
02/09/2011 08:35:19 AM
To much light, it gotta be darker, more frightening. She looks like the nice one of Freddy's family jejeje. But it looks good, really clean image.
