I was one of your two 10s, and you deserved more. This is very fine work, and should have placed higher. |

Back to comment... So sad! A great commentary on the state of the world. Makes you want to know his story. |

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.
Positives: A hugely engaging photo - such potential for story building here and the technicals are superb. Great coloration, subtle tone mapping, light, exposure, focus etc... all spot on. The touching of the glass transforms the image, through that potential for self-harm, the subject seems vulnerable. Also, his age is difficult to place precisely, perhaps its because we don't get to see his whole face.
Critical stuff: Nothing
Overall: Really excellent work. |

He looks like a very young Van Daam. |

Love the portrait! Colors and depth are spot on. These uses of the glass is distracting, and takes away, also the hand is washed out. Good Luck |

Wow, his eyes are so very green! I am also amazed at the sharpness here.
The overexposed fingers do bug me though. They distract. 6 |
