Very very cold day yesterday -24C (-11F), but also unbelievably beautiful. Was rather strange as all week it had been hovering between -2C/+2C, so the sharp drop was a shock.

Couldn't stay out long as it really was too cold. I went out twice, once in the morning when the sun was rising and once when the sun was setting. In the morning I was out about 1hr, and ended up with frost on the base of the camera, the gorillapod was also frosty and the camera bag distinctly crisp and inflexible.

I'm still trying to get the hang of composing with the pinhole. It's a bit hit and miss, I have to say. I was quite pleased with this. Apart from sensor dust removal and a slight levels adjustment, this is out of the camera. So I was quite happy the horizon isn't too crooked!

Love the prism light and your beautiful blues ;) Hard to think it's a ph, looks so complete like a traditional camera quality.

Ha Ursula, you are right about the sensor dust. And yes, very likely moving, more like shivering actually!

Wonderful image. Worth standing in the cold for. Reminded me about the lens flare so I went looking for flare.

Brave soul. I believe now would be the time to practice macros with things around the house. Kudos to you for forging outdoors. :)

Wow, you stayed out an hour at that temp? You must have some very good gloves & boots. This pic was worth it though!
